Spinal Rehabilitation

UW Health’s multidisciplinary spine program offers comprehensive care for adults and children with spinal disorders.Our team includes rehabilitation medicine physicians (physiatrists) as well as orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons who are recognized nationally for their innovation, expertise and experience.

 

Our physiatrists have specialized skills and techniques used in the treatment of multiple types of spinal pain. Physiatrists utilize medications, injections, and a team approach with psychologists, physical therapists, and other allied heath specialties to treat all non-operative aspects of spinal pain. Our goals of diagnosing and controlling pain, restoring function, and preventing re-injury are the most important. We work with a patient as they gain control of the disorder and return to their highest possible functional level.
