Dr. Keene is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He specializes in the treatment of sports-related injuries of the shoulder, elbow, ankle, and knee, as well as arthroscopy and reconstructive surgery of the knee and hip. Dr. Keene served as a team orthopedic surgeon for the University of Wisconsin athletic teams for two decades.

Dr. Keene's research is currently focused on the value of MRI imaging techniques for evaluating hip and knee injuries, and arthroscopic treatment of hip and knee injuries.
