The goal of the fellowship is to train well-rounded academic spine surgeons. We emphasize clinical experience and research equally.
The clinical experience covers all aspects of both operative and non-operative treatment of a wide variety of spinal disorders. This includes:
- Evaluation of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar disorders
- Trauma, infection, neoplasm, degenerative conditions, deformities, and complex revision/reconstruction patients
It is a major responsibility of the Fellow to interact with and teach both orthopedic residents and medical students.
