Fellowship Compensation and Benefits

UW Health house officer stipends are reviewed annually and kept close to the median figures for other University and Midwestern hospitals. Stipend level is based on previous training applicable toward the chosen specialty; the sports medicine fellow stipend is $69,466.00, which is at the PGY-6 level (see http://www.uwhealth.org/health-professionals/gme/new-residents/26196#stipends). In addition, the fellow will receive up to $2,500 to attend an arthroscopic or sports medicine specific scientific meeting during the fellowship year.

A. Health- Fellows choose from a variety of comprehensive health plans, including one fee-for-service plan and several health maintenance organizations (HMOs). E. Other- Catastrophic, dental and accidental death policies are also available at group rates.
F. Tax-free reimbursement accounts allow deposit and use of tax-free earnings for medical or dependent care expenses.
