Ethics Courses

Free for Clinical Instructors who educate UW - Madison DPT Students
This 4 hour course meets the requirements for licensure in WI. Contact Lisa Levy for course registration (pre-registration is required)
2015 Title: Therapeutic Alliance: A Moral Imperative and Just Good Practice” presented by Dr. Jill Schiff Boissonnault, PT, PhD, WCS
Upon Completion of the course the learner will be able to:
  • Define Therapeutic Alliance (TA) and understand its implications for rehabilitation medicine
  • Identify medical ethics principles and APTA Codes of Ethics that apply the concepts of TA
  • Consider how TA impacts health outcomes, patient satisfaction, & adherence to rehab and wellness advice
  • Identify risk management strategies concerning TA
  • Implement strategies to develop a good TA with clients
