UW Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Launches One-Year Research Fellowship for Medical Students

The University of Wisconsin (UW) Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation is excited to announce a new one-year, full-time research fellowship designed to give medical students hands-on experience in orthopedic research. The program offers three positions for students currently enrolled in U.S. allopathic or osteopathic medical schools.
Two fellows will join the department’s Sports Medicine Research Team, contributing to ongoing studies in injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation. A third fellow will work with the Pediatric Orthopedics Research Team, supporting research focused on musculoskeletal conditions affecting children and adolescents.
This new fellowship provides students with an opportunity to immerse themselves in high-impact orthopedic research while working alongside leading faculty mentors at UW.
Applications open on December 15, 2025.
