Thank you for your interest in the Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. The UW is an excellent place to master sports medicine!

We offer exceptional facilities, a large diversified faculty, plenty of hands-on clinical experience, and one of the most competitive collegiate athletic departments in the nation. You will learn in a rich academic environment that also teaches/trains residents from orthopedic surgery, PM&R, pediatrics, and family medicine; primary care sports fellows; athletic training residents and students; medical students; physical therapy students; and both clinical and basic science researchers. Throughout your fellowship year, you will be integrally involved in team coverage and the care of more than 800 Division I athletes at the University of Wisconsin. The training you receive here will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to excel in the field, whether you pursue a career in academic or private practice, as a team physician, an arthroscopic surgeon, or a clinician-researcher.

We train one sports medicine fellow per year, with a focus in four distinct areas: clinical care, team coverage, education, and research.

Thank you for your interest in our Sports Medicine Fellowship. If you have questions about our program, please contact Amy Vincent by email at vincent@ortho.wisc.edu or by phone at (608) 262-8846.
