The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation is seeking a biostatistician to join a vibrant and active research community. Under the supervision of a faculty biostatistician within the department, this position will provide biostatistical support for physicians, trainees and scientists who are conducting research in the fields of trauma, orthopedics, rehabilitation, sports medicine and sports science. This position will work in collaboration with the department’s research administration team involving grants and contracts management, database development and regulatory issues.
This position will manage IRB protocol submissions, renewals, and closures for the Departments of Ortho/Rehab and Urology. They will be a subject matter expert and provide critical assistance to our clinical research programs.
The incumbent will be the strategic leader of the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation’s and Department of Urology’s research enterprise. This person, in conjunction with departmental leaders, will set strategic vision and priorities for the two department’s research programs. The incumbent will implement tactics, plans and policies to achieve the strategic priorities. Additionally, they will be a strong and influential leader to their team.
The individual hired in this role will be the lead on submission of grants for both the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation and Department of Urology research enterprise.
The Education Team within the Department of Orthopedics & Rehabilitation is hiring a Graduate Medical Education (GME) Coordinator! They will be responsible for the management of three fellowship programs (Sports Medicine, Non-Operative Pediatrics, and Adult Arthroplasty). Additionally, they will manage departmental CME processes. They will also provide administrative support to our Orthopedic Surgery Residency program and Program Manager.
