Application Process

Rehabilitation Residency

UW Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation provides four residency positions for each training year, starting with PGY-2. Applicants must have graduated from an accredited medical school, and completed an internship year in general internal medicine, or a transitional internship year, at a program accredited by the American College of Graduate Medical Education.

To be considered for the program, please make sure all of the following materials reach our offices by September 30, 2025, through Electronic Residency Application Service.

• Personal statement
• Residency application
• 3-4 letters of recommendation
• Medical school transcript
• USMLE and/or COMLEX Scores
• Be eligible for a J-1 visa (if visa sponsorship is required)
• One SLOE optional, but highly recommended if possible
